Wordy Wednesday: Our Last Winter Storm

I finally remembered to clean off my big girl camera and found some nice shots of the last winter storm we had a few weeks back. I forget (not really) about the big camera because the iphones have made capturing pictures far too easy these days. Every now and then though there are moments when I pull out the REAL one to capture things like this!

  1. Love, love, love that last pic with your puppy diggin’ for the stick!!! I have a black lab and she’s always got her snoot diggin’ in the snow lookin’ for anything and just comin’ up with a sneeze or something.. hahaha Thanks for stopping by and sharing all your wonderful big girl photos!!! 🙂 Have a great day!

    1. She did indeed Eric! I will have to share the pictures I took of her really looking for it. The weather has been stunning this week and tomorrow they are calling for clear skies and almost 60! Cannot wait.

  2. Now that is an icicle!! Wow. Love the shots!!! You should definitely use the big girl camera more. 🙂
We are in the middle of another winter storm – this one is supposed to be bad. 2 snow days in a row already, and I am wondering what tomorrow will bring. So far we have not lost power or anything, so I am grateful for that.

    1. Oh I hope you don’t lose power, that would most certainly be bad. Stay warm and I will wish sunny skies your way fast!

And thank you for the sweet words about the shots, makes a girl feel good!

  3. Kisma, that’s some serious snow fall and those icicles are huge! I remember when I was a kid growing up in southern WV. It wasn’t uncommon for us to have lots of snow and every winter our porch eve grew those really long icicles. We loved to break them off and lick them. That really sounds disguising now, but what fun that was then. 😀 Spring is less than a month away, but that’s plenty of time for Old Man Winter to stir some trouble, especially for folks like you. Heck, as crazy as things have been we might get something totally unpredictable and weird. I’m crossing my fingers and wishing for only good weather to come our way! Have a good weekend!

    1. You too Cathy! I used to the the same thing with the icicles… Our youth was awesome wasn’t it!
I’m ready for spring but I know that winter isn’t quite done yet. I’m patient.
